A kitchen makeover fitting for a dramatic new space
A typical load-bearing wall was doing more than just dividing this home’s kitchen and family room; it was preventing the family from having the open space they so badly wanted. To make their vision real, an engineered beam was spec’d, mechanical items were creatively relocated – and away went the obtrusive wall!
Dura Supreme cabinetry – cherry for the perimeter cabinets, quarter-sawn oak for the island – was paired with a combination of quartz and natural granite countertops. The Wolf gas cooktop and Zephyr island hood boldly distinguish the main cooking area. The lighting design, backsplash tile, and cabinet hardware add modern touches.
