Project Case Study · Bathroom Remodel
A Primary Bath, Down to the Studs
Including the part you never see once the tile goes on.
A primary bathroom taken back to the framing and rebuilt: a walk-in glass shower with a recessed niche, a double vanity in wood-grain cabinetry under quartz, and textured wallcovering throughout. The waterproofing was photographed before the tile covered it, which is the part of a bathroom that decides whether the rest lasts.

Behind The Tile
Rough-in and waterproofing

Project Phases
How the build actually ran
A bathroom is decided behind the tile. These are the stages that matter, in the order they happened.
01
Demolition & Framing
The original bathroom removed back to the studs and subfloor, and the new shower and vanity walls framed.
02
Plumbing & Electrical Rough-In
Supply and drain lines run for the relocated fixtures, with wiring for the vanity lighting and exhaust.
03
Waterproofing
A full membrane system applied across the shower walls, curb and niche, with every seam banded before a single tile went on.
04
Tile & Shower Build
Shower walls and floor tiled, the recessed niche shelved, and the glass enclosure measured and fitted.
05
Vanity & Countertop
Wood-grain vanity cabinetry set and levelled, quartz templated to the finished cabinets, then fabricated and installed.
06
Finish & Walkthrough
Wallcovering hung, mirrors, lighting and fixtures set, flooring completed, and a final walkthrough with the homeowners.
